Yitzchak Eshel (Friedlander)


Cantor. Born in Debrecen, Hungary in 1912, and immigrated to Israel in 1949. Held cantorial positions in many cities, including Munich, Debrecen, Tel Aviv, Pittsburg (USA) and more. Toured in concerts around the world and taught many young cantors. Recorded albums of cantorial music and Yiddish songs, wrote articles about Jewish music, and composed original pieces.
