Mrs. Angelina Rocca is the only woman informant in Leo Levi's recordings. Her singing, while it does not portray a distinct "women's repertoire," attests to women's participation in selected events, such as the Sabbath zemirot ("table songs", as in this track) and weddings [tr. 41]. This melody is probably drawn from the Italian popular song style of the late 18th century.
