Avraham Weingarten

Avraham Weingarten, Jerusalem, 6 February 1967.

A Pan-Hasidic niggun, also used for dancing, which Weingarten heard in Hasidic batei midrash of different communities during Se'udah shelishit (the meal eaten after the Sabbath Afternoon Service), sung to the words of "Deror yiqera." In the synagogue of the Batei Rand neighborhood in Jerusalem it was sung in the service for Inauguration of the Sabbath, to the second part of the hymn "Lekhah dodi," from the words "Lo tevoshi" (see above, no. I, 12).
