1. Dance Niggun of the Boyan Hasidim
Community singing, Tish on the third Intermediate Day of Sukkot, "Tif'eret Yisra'el" Yeshiva, Jerusalem, 29 September 1988.
One of the Freylekhs melodies used by Boyan Hasidim to conclude the Tish on Sabbaths and festivals, including the Intermediate Days of the Festivals. It is also used for dancing during the Simhat Torah haqqafot. Professor Menahem Brayer, father of the present Boyaner Rebbe claims that this niggun was composed by Cantor Pinhas ("Pinye") Spector (1872-1951) during one of his terms of office as cantor and "court composer" of the dynasty in the first half of the 20th century. This claim is contested by some of the Boyan menagnim. The acceleration of tempo and the changes in clapping reflect the interaction between the Rebbe and the congregation (see above, no I, 17, and below, nos. 11 and 20).
