Edwin Seroussi (Born 1952, Montevideo, Uruguay), Professor of Musicology and Director of the JMRC, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Ph.D. diss. University of California, Los Angeles: “Schir Hakawod and the Liturgical Music Reforms in the Sephardi Community in Vienna, ca. 1881-1925” (1988). Founder and editor of Yuval Music Series. Presently editor of Anthology of Musical Traditions in Israel. Fields of interest: Sephardi musical traditions (historical sources and oral traditions) and Israeli popular music.
