Leo Levi, Yitzhaq Haqatan

The Qaddish, a doxology in Aramaic; a melody used for the end of the Sabbath Afternoon Service and the ceremony of Havdalah (Separation). In the Ashkenazi tradition of Ferrara it is followed by Hamavdil ("He Who divides"), a short piyyut by Yitzhaq Haqatan, which already appears among the tunes transcribed by Benedetto Marcello in his Estro poetico- armonico (Venice 1724).
