Recordings of Persian Popular Songs by Yaffa Yonatan, Jerusalem, March 3, 1952
To rafti ey gol be kenaram (You left, oh flower, come to my side)
My heart bleeds from the pain of separation, O hope of my heart, where are you?
- "Mowsam-e Gol" (Season of the Flower), popular Persian song composed by Musa Khan Maroufi and performed by singers Pouran, Solmaz Badri, and Parva. A poetic reflection on the fleeting nature of beauty and a plea for mercy. The melody is a variant of “Jaharomi,” a well-known tune from Jaharom county in the Fars province of southwest Iran that was adapted to many different texts.
- تو رفتی ای گل به کنارم “To rafti ey gol be kenaram” (You left, oh flower, come to my side)
- Delāyel gar nāle o zāri makon
- A song recorded by the popular singer Marzieh (Khadijeh Ashraf o-Sadat Mortezaie, 1924-2010) شد دلم خون ز درد جدایی ای امید دل من کجایی (My heart bleeds from the pain of separation, O hope of my heart, where are you?)
- دم گاراژ بودم “Dam-e gārāzh budam” (I was at the garage), an underground song recorded by the street and cabaret singer Afat (Moluk Anghoz 1934–2007).
